From wrinkles to the most infuriating acne, winning a good-skin game is indeed, tough to achieve. However, a poor skin does not only account to your genes alone, it can also be pointed out to a bad skincare routine and lifestyle habits. Meanwhile, this routine does not mean clocking hours in front of the mirror or buying very expensive facial products.

On the other hand, the key to achieving an admirable skin is indeed, very simple. Washing and moisturizing every day and following a few other maintenance basics, leads to a more captivating skin.

Furthermore, here are few tips to help you with your skin care regimen:

lather up

A good cleanse helps your skin to slough away dead skin cells that usually stick together and make your face look drab. For a more deeper clean, use a facial wash that contains Glycolic acid, both in the morning and bed. Furthermore, you can also use an exfoliating scrub once or twice a week, just don't overdo it to avoid any skin irritation.

don't forget to use a moisturizer

Applying a facial moisturizer is just as important as putting a lotion after your daily bath. Hence, to help seal in moisture, it is ideal to apply a moisturizer when your skin is still slightly damp. Meanwhile, most moisturizers are oil-based which works perfectly for people with normal skin, however, it is best to use a water-based product when you are more to breakouts or oily skin.

stay hydrated

Hydration plays a very important role in achieving a perfect skin, and as your skin needs moisture from the outside, it also needs moisture from the inside. Indeed, applying a moisturizer on your skin is only half of the hydration process.

In line with this, it is suggested that drinking six to eight glasses of water a day is the most ideal to achieve a healthy skin. Also, it is also crucial to take notes on how much alcohol and caffeine you’re consuming. This is because too much caffeine and alcohol can quickly dehydrate your skin.

do not consume too much sugar

While indulging your self with some sweet treats is surely rewarding, keep in mind that consuming high-sugar foods can cause inflammation, which can lead to breakouts.

do not soak up too much sun

Spending a short time under the sun is a healthy habit, however, make sure that you apply extra protection for your skin before going out under the rays of the sun. Be reminded that, damaging rays can speed up the aging process of your skin by slowing down collagen production and cell growth, thus leading to a lose elasticity

Hence, you can look for a moisturizer with an SPF of 15 or higher, which on the other hand, provides a broader-spectrum protection, blocking UVA and UVB rays which is harmful for your skin.

get enough sleep

Keep in mind that a full, uninterrupted seven to eight hours of sleep can give your cells plenty of time to fix any damages during the day. And for your skin, it means heading off wrinkles, fine lines, and breakouts.
