5 books you wont want to stop reading!

5 books you wont want to stop reading!

Did you ever feel like you couldn’t stop reading until you finish the book? Are you a bookaholic? Then this may be a perfect post for you.

I consider myself a book lover, I find a special comfort in reading.  But I’m writing this because I genuinely think sometimes we need to let ourselves absorb a few words that will let us fly away from our reality, thinking further in what we expect of the world, and simply just live in the fantasy of what is being created in our minds.

For this post, I gather 5 books I love, that simply marked me in some way, and I know they will be useful for those who want to travel far away from reality for a while.

They are in no particular order, so you choose which one you find more attractive and just start reading them, I try my best to explain why you should read the book without giving any spoilers, and I think I nailed it.

So here we go:

1. The Madman’s tale by John Katzenbach

This book is categorized in the gender of suspense and thriller and for a good reason, It keeps you attached to it!!!

I must say that in my 23 years on this earth I haven’t found another book so exasperating, and confusing but terribly good at the same time. This book follows the story of a young boy that suffers from schizophrenia who was put away in an asylum by his family, inside there he witnesses a terrible murder.

Surrounded by ill inmates and fighting his own mind and disease he tries to figure out what is happening in the asylum. The curious thing about this book is how its divided into chapters of the protagonist lives in a way that you end up coming back and forward in time.

If you are looking for a book that will keep you confuse and with constants plot twist then this one may be THE ONE.

2. The little prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

This book for me has some special kind of magic, why? It’s simple, every time I read it, it feels different, you can read it a thousand time and you will still discover different meanings to the same phrases.

It’s not a lie when people say that this is a book for adults cover in a story for children, and to this day it is one of the best sellers around the world with 200 million books sold.

The story starts when a pilot gets stranded in the desert, while he tries to figure out a way to fix his plain he meets a curious little boy who may be called the little prince.

The kid starts telling the pilot stories about the places he’s been and how is the planet where he is from and how he has one thing that is the most precious to him. In the end, we could see how easy is to associate everything in the book with our reality and the society we live in.

3. Pride & prejudice by Jane Austen

This is one of my favorite books, so I guess this may be a bit subjective but in any case, I’ll tell you what I love the most about this classic.

This is a love story between two impossible and stubborn individuals from different status, Darcy and Elizabeth, both caught up in mistakes and pride plus assumptions of each other and their family are what keeps them apart.

But, for me the enchanted part of this book is how they talk, how is written, how Jane Austen can charm you with words in a way that you just may believe you could live in that period of time just to feel how people used to say they loved you with respect and complicity.

4. Saga crossfire by Sylvia Day

So we get to a sassy part, this book is a romantic book with sexual content. So it's not made for underage.

Why is it on my list?

First, I think girls will probably like to read it because it’s written in a better way than Fifty shades of grey and the plot is way more interesting full with troubles, so attached to the reality that you may feel attracted to what is happening between the protagonists. But obviously, it has some fictional and dreamy parts involving high society and big enterprises.

This book is pure sensuality filled with trouble.

5. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

This is definitely a classic and if you like fiction you must read this book, it is the pioneer in this category. I don’t have much to say, just read it.

Mary Shelley has a special way of capturing your mind leaving it intrigued by what is happening.

What you must remember is that this is a book like no other and it can take you to dark places in a beautiful way.

“Maybe this is why we read, and why in moments of darkness we return to books: to find words for what we already know.” ― Alberto M.
